180º Rotated files

@Javier_Martinez wrote:

Hey! I just changed my virtual printer+pdf viewer to pdf forge ones, but i am pretty disapointed with somethings, hope you can help me out.

I use autocad (dwg files), I use the virtual printer and the print is ok, but if autodetect rotation is activated in printer settings, the file is shown vertical.
When I “force” horizontal in printer settings, its shown 180º rotated(in every scenario, not only sometimes).
Is there a fix for that? Maybe just adding 180º rotated to printer settings?
Thanks for your time.

Hi There,

I’m trying to setup PDF Creator Server to run on a Windows 7 VM and it works but only if i give the service account admin rights on the Server

As soon as i take away the local admin rights the PDF Creator service stops when i sent a printjob to it from another machine.

Is it possible to get the service to receive and process the printjobs without admin rights?

Many Thanks

Hi. I’m using PDF Creator free version from a long time ago. Today i updated to 3.0.1 version. I want to save the PDF into the same folder where the original file is located. With my older versión it were possible (Whan i clicked on “Save”, the program opened a explorer window showing the content of the original path and then i should click on “Save” on that window to finally save the new file) but after the update i cant make this to work on the same way. It’s possible? Thanks

PDF Creator 3 overwrites files with the same name

@monomen wrote:

Hello,

I have noticed that version 3 does not prompt you to change the file name when you save a file with the same name as a previously saved file. It is automatically overwritten with the new output. The previous version used the Windows save file dialogue box to prevent that from happening before but that step seems to have been removed.

Can this be fixed?

Thank you.

PDF Creator 3.00 not working

PDF Creator 3 save as

@TubaOrNotTuba wrote:

So I installed 3.0 and immediately realized it’s a MASSIVE downgrade from 2 that was a MASSIVE downgrade from 1 in usability. Before I uninstall 3 and go back to 2, I need to know how I get the Windows’ Save As dialog box to come up. The 3.x default save box is a DISASTER and the absolute reason why I may go back to 2 and just skip any future upgrades. That said, 2 was a major downgrade from 1 because one must use their mouse to click Save to get the Save As dialog box to come up. I don’t know who uses this at PDFForge, but clearly you don’t use this on any kind of regular basis or you’d realize how much of a pain this is. Maybe this is your way to force people to buy the paid-for products, but I don’t need all the other fluff, I just need the ability to see the Save As dialog box 100% of the time. Honestly, I have 1.x still installed on some of my older machines and really think I should upgrade to one of those builds and see how they work on Windows 10, but for now I’ll settle for 3.x giving me the Save As box.

PDF Creator not working if user not logged on

@vineethv wrote:

Hi,

We have a windows scheduled automated task that invokes an application from which we are generating PDF and placing it in a folder in another server for the Rightfax tool to pick up and send the pdf as a fax/email.

The user is connecting to the application through citrix and invokes this process interactively. Currently the PDF creator (business version) that we hold expects the user (i.e. batch job owner) to be logged into the server to generate the pdf.
But, in a real world scenario, we cannot always have the user logged in into the server because its an overhead.

What other options are available?

  1. Can I create a pdfcreator service in the server using the pdf business version license that we hold?
  2. Can you please let me know a contact number to reach you directly?
  3. Is there any application /. profile settings that should be checked / unchecked in the pdf creator business version to make this work without the user (batch job owner) being always connected to the server
  4. Is PDF creator server the only option. At Domtar, we do hold at least 9 PDF Creator terminal server versions. Can any of these be used for resolving the issue?

Please feel free to reach me in my cell - 803-357-861 Desk - 803-578-2025

@Beth_Congreave wrote:

I have a document in Microsoft Publisher, and it contains a URL to a website. I have not created a hyperlink for this URL, it’s simply the URL in text.

When I convert this to a PDF, the PDF document now has a clickable link where the URL is, but the link doesn’t work because the URL in the background is spelled incorrectly!

How is this even possible when I have not created the hyperlink myself? It PDF creator has taken it upon itself to make the URL a clickable link, why is it spelled differently to what’s in the document?!

Hello,
I made Lotusscript code with VB code to choose a mail in a mailbox, detach attachment, create a pdf with pdfcreator, convert attachment in pdf and merge all in one PDF.
It works fine in PDF creator 2.3.2 and i upgraded to the last version 3.0.2 and works fine too.

I user the 4 objets, add files in queue, wait the incomming job and merge all without any problem when my code run on my computer. In that case PDFcreator works on local.

I explode this agent in two parts : one used in local and the other one working on a server. The local part is used to choose the email in mailbox, send all the needed information to the background agent and run it.

Agent programmed on the server failed : he find all the files to use and to convert in pdf, failed when he tried to initialise queue

Set PDFCreator = CreateObject("PDFCreator.PDFCreatorObj")
If PDFCreator Is Nothing Then
	MsgBox "Vous devez installer PDFCreator pour réliser l'impression."

strDestFileName = Join(Split(strDestFileName,"/"),"")
Call loginfo(NdocLog,"PDFCreator fichier destination: " & strDestFileName )
intStatPDFCreator = PDFCreatorQueue.Initialize()
error
PDF creator 3.0.2 installed on the server, strDestFileName string is good and well formated, folder exist but he can’t initialise queue

Why ?
